Boy's School
1794
Preservation
This building served the education needs of the boys of Salem from 1794 until the new
school was completed in 1896. In addition to classrooms, space was provided for; the
teacher's quarters, storage, a kitchen and a sleeping area in the loft. This is one of
the most preserved buildings in the historic district due to the fact that it has only been
used for three main purposes since 1794.
